All My Life (June 23, 2009)

Last Tuesday, East Digital was invited to cover the program launching of Kapuso Network's newest soap, "All My Life". The show stars the romantic tandem of Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal. The event, designed ala-wedding mode, was held in GMA's studio, complete with a presidential table and gourmet menu for the guests. As expected, the event became a Showbiz fest as the who's who in the business was all over the scene. Veteran and upstart Kapuso stars trooped the scene and sure as sunlight, the metro's top Showbiz press outfits covered the event.

The show's director, Mac Alejandre,  greets the audience with his opening speech.

Akin to a real wedding, the event opened with a traditional entourage composed of the main casts of the show.

And when it was time for the couple to walk the isle...

...Kris sheds tears like it was her real dream wedding.

Here, the loveteam spent a really really long time staring at each other which drove the audience wild.

And as the custom goes, when spoons hit the glasses, it's time for the couple to... well, kiss.

Also present were the big whigs in the industry like Alfie Lorenzo

We were really proud to be selected as the official coverage team, photo booth, and  on-site video provider of this unprecendented event. This is something that we will treasure "all our lives."

More power to your new show and your network, GMA!

June 2009 Weddings and Prenups

Tony and Ghia (June 8, 2009)

After waking up shortly after midnight, we found ourselves on a trip to Laiya, Batangas  to shoot another pre-nup, this time of  the U.S.-based couple, Ghia and Tony. It will be a beachside photoshoot so weather is a very important factor. The first few hours after midnight showed signs of good weather: a cloudless sky dotted by stars and adorned by the moon. But as soon as we moved further down the rain drenched South Luzon Expressway,  we feard about the weather ahead. While the sun was starting to crawl up the horizon, a few dark rain clouds started to hover over the East.
But how could we resist our dear Ghia and Tony, who came all the way from the US for this shoot. This lovely couple will ring the wedding bells on June 21, 2009 at Sanctuario de San Jose Church in Greenhills.

Tony and Ghia arrived two days ago  and will leave two days after their wedding. Before flying  back to California, though, the couple will drop by  Hawaii for their honeymoon.

Although rain clouds keep showing up early in the morning, they were nowhere in sight when the sun fully broke out. So we proceeded to the beach to shoot some scenes. The day was definitely hot but the couple made the mercury rise higher with their "amor". Good job Tony and Ghia!.

The couple was walking down he beach when they felt like snorkeling with their dress suits on.

Late in the afternoon, a large rain cloud showed up on the horizon. Good thing we were almost done.

We really had a wonderful time with this session. Advanced congratulations to you Ghia and Tony. Thanks for the lunch and merienda.

-Anthony and team East DigitalCool

We'd also like to thank Kris, the official make up artist of the couple for keeping up the couple's make up until the photo shoot ends. Kris Bacani 09176293303

Sam and Rose (June 3, 2009)

For their 25th year of marriage, Sam and Rose decided to celebrate their love by exchanging "I dos" again at San Agustin Church on June 19, 2009.

Sam chose Balai Isabel, a resort by the Taal Lake, for their prenuptial pictorial.

We were just starting to warm up on our first set when the clouds darkened and drove the rain to the shore.

Despite the danger to our gear caused by the heavy rain, our undying creative spirit persevered and with the couple's cooperative disposition, we were able to get the shots we wanted.

Taking advantage of the good backdrop provided by the weather we moved on with our plastic-covered gear. By then, the couple's adventurous and playful nature, a trait they probably owe to their successful toy manufacturing business, started to kick in.

The couple were walking by the beach when the wind started blowing hard against the shore and their umbrella caught a bit of the drift. We were about to call 7-11 este 911 but we figured it'd be good to take a few shots first. (just kidding, the couple wasn't harmed in this shoot, this was a staged shot,Laughing)

When darkness started to set in, we went back to the resort to shoot the last set.

Special thanks to Angie, the couple's eldest child, for the valuable assistance during the shoot. She assisted us in protecting our gears from the rain by wrapping them with plastic. And thank you for holding the umbrella. When your wedding time comes, rest assured that East will be there for you.

Thanks also to Sam and Rose for hosting a sumptuous dinner for the crew!
